Kansas PRIDE Program

Youth Engagement

Youth Community Perceptions is a program from K-State Research and Extension that gives youth in your community an opportunity to identify needs and opportunities, then work with local government and other organizations to address those issues.  Youth Community Perceptions participation is accepted as a method of community assessment which is required when applying for Community of Excellence status.

Kansas PRIDE is proud to feature a best practices manual for communities hoping to further engage youth in community activities.  This manual also addresses civic leadership for young adults.  We are constantly editing the material to ensure that it meets the ever-changing needs of communities and their youth.  Listed below is the Handbook and some links to aid in understanding the handbook and its purpose. If any questions or concerns arise, please contact the PRIDE Program Office.
